Born 2 Run East London has to be one of the most popular and the most dynamic clubs in the country.  Exceptionally led by branch manager Bob Norris, the club offers Border-based runners access to a wide range of run-related products and services.  Regardless of whether you are just starting out, or have your sights set on smashing a South African record, B2R East London has everything you need to progress from #good2great!

 


Club Runs

  • Monday: Stirling Primary High Performance Centre – Core Training with Cindy Schwulst (Elite Tri-Athlete and Border 10km Champion) 5:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday:
    • Tuesday Treats (quality session) with Bob Norris in James Pearce Park 5:30p.m. (start Bunkers Hill Astra Turf, Gleneagles Rd)
    • Specialised Training with BO&ST at various venues (Bob and Stephanie Smith Border’s top marathon and ultra marathon runner)
  • Wednesday: Bunkers Hill Astra Turf 5:30p.m. – Midweek Meander with Hanlie Botha (South African Half Marathon Runner) and her team offer a 10-12km gentle paced group run.
  • Thursday:
    • Bunkers Hill Astra Turf 5:30p.m. 5km Time Trial/ or fartlek session with Lyn Easom
    • Specialised Training with BO&ST (Training with Bob and Steph), normally at Bunkers Hill 5:30p.m.
  • Saturday: Born 2 Run is always prominently purple at parkruns around the province.
  • Sunday: Longer runs – usually 16-20 and 24-34km from Bunkers Hill (venue does differ occasionally – check facebook page) 5:30a.m start in August-May or 6:00a.m start in June-August.
